Fertility

What does it mean to specialize in fertility as a Chinese Medicine Practitioner? It is not as simple as knowing the protocols or lists of recommended points. Fertility is a part of optimal wellness and ties into several other aspects of health - hormonal health, sexual health, stress management, relational health, inflammation, detox, and aging. Fertility ties into our life goals and how we envision our futures. This is the path that I walk with patients.

I incorporate what I have learned from working in fertility clinics (this was my career prior to acupuncture), and from working with hundreds of intended parents since then. I continue to study and collaborate so that I can offer the best natural treatments and offer them effectively alongside other interventions when necessary. It is helpful to have someone who understands timing, supplements, medical interventions, reproductive conditions as well as Chinese Herbs, dietary advice, acupuncture and bodywork.

In 2016, I certified with the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) because of their mission to understand the science behind our medicine and use that knowledge to deliver quality patient care in Chinese Reproductive Medicine. I continue to re-certify each year.
